Get the original from us not an imitation or a replica that has no warrantee. We have a great customer service team. We have developed a device to make Late 2003 / 2007 With Detroit Diesel 12.7 and 14.0 liter engines run smoother, while helping with fuel savings, along with an increase in responsive power. We have been testing this on various Detroit diesel engines in our fleet. Our product is called The Ugly fix. Yes it’s true, it’s not pretty but is works. It’s built with high grade components and sealed for all weather conditions. Easy installation, it installs in about 15 to 30 minutes. Stops turbo hesitations, eliminates surging, missing, coughing, black smoke, and you will notice instant throttle response. Engines will run cooler up to 20 degrees, have an increase in horse power, with lower vibration levels. Engine will now run as if Pre E G R. Which allows a gain in fuel miles per gallon. Our product will work unlike other fixes out there. We’ve gone beyond the fixes that use simple resistors or tubes or gauges. Ours works at any altitude, with no adjustments needed. Stops Hesitation, Surging, Coughing, Black Smoke 2. More responsive Power 4. Oil Pressure Increase & Cleaner Oil 5. No Engine Light 6. MPG Increase in most cases 7. Engine Runs Cooler up to 20 Deg. More mileage between oil changes 9. Engine Runs As Pre EGR 10. Late 2003 through Early 2007 11. Installs in about 10 min 12. EGR system must be fully functional. Easy and smoother shifting. The pricing below is for reference only. It doesn’t reflect todays pricing. Now, with the cost of fuel pricing going up since 1999 till present, it is a big expense, in many cases the biggest expense. The good old days of foot to the floor get it done fast attitude is gone by the wayside. Now with proven success we have found a variation in fuel savings from 0.4 tenths of a mile per gallon to 1.5 miles per gallon with the Ugly Fix Installed. We are studying the wide range between the milage difference and, will let all know why as soon as possible. Lets look at the lower end of the spectrum 0.4. If a truck operates an annual 100,000 miles a year at 5.0 miles to the gallon. / 52 weeks = 121.07 weekly in the bank. As a business owner, the savings is a plus. Yes, if your asking, it does work. Flashing the ECM or The Ugly Fix. Flashing the E C M. To flash the ECM is one way to achieve the same thing that The Ugly Fix does, except, once you flash the ECM, it’s flashed, period, you can’t go back. Unless you take it back to whom ever did the work and hope it can be set back, or have Detroit Diesel do it. This is the cost of flashing. Here is another thing you need to look at. Do you have a good mechanic? Most major Detroit shops won’t touch it after the ECM is cleared. The two major reasons are, 1 Only by the book, because, mechanics are no longer thinkers. 2 Liability, It’s all about the liability. I really don’t blame them because lawsuits are expensive. With that said, if your looking to get a lot more horse power out of your truck and you’re a good mechanic, (or have one) then you can change the intake and turbo and set the ECM, and wow-wee you can get it all for about 5,000 plus DOLLARS. All that for a little over 100 horses. The Ugly Fix is all about performance, period. Our chip works the same way the flashing does but, and there is always a but, when you install this chip and it talks to the computer, (it DOES NOT erase it), it sets the EGR and the turbo, to get maximum performance from your engine with out pushing it past its limitations. As intelligent business owners, as I’m sure you are, do you want to spend a lot or a little, to get the same effect? At today’s prices I would think a little is the way to go. Need to take it to the shop? Unplug it, plug in the Altimeter and no one knows. It wont give any indication it was even there. Get your work done and plug it back in and go…. EGR an engine killer. 1 Shortened engine lubricant life 2 Increased carbon/soot deposits throughout the engine 3 Reduced engine performance 4 Reduced fuel economy 5 Increased emissions 6 both minor and catastrophic powertrain component/engine failure/reduced engine/equipment life 7 Damaged emission controls IE, EGR, Turbo, Internal engine cylinders. 8 Cost of Time, Expense and Inconvenience to the operator/end user. Depending on the use of the vehicle, these problems can crop up in a very short time and even in ideal conditions they will still develop. It is quite evident that the researchers are still trying to identify cause and effect of the problem and from my reading they have no solution to the problem. EGR’s appear to be a very expensive technology over the long haul for reducing Nox emissions. For the diesel engine operator of any kind, truck, bus, equipment operator or Car. It appears it is not a matter of if they will have a problem caused by Cooled EGR? It is a matter of when? And more importantly how severe will the problem will be? So fix the problem before you have EGR issues. (It is the best time). I hope this helps in your decision.
