Tighten the guide studs. The base must be close to the end of the crankshaft. Install the spacer on the center screw of the base. Slide the oil seal assembly from the mounting base to the crankshaft hub, as far as possible. Seal ring on the step side that slides in contact with the seal. Slide the mounting cup over the guide studs and mounting base. Lubricate the center screw of the base with extreme pressure lubricant. Face the housing side of the thrust bearing towards the mounting cup and mount the hex nut to the center screw of the base. Tighten the hex nut until the oil seal and wear sleeve are pressed into the flywheel housing or gearbox cover.
